Monday is mix-up miss matched clothes day and the teachers will also switch classes. Tuesday is favorite team clothes day as well as a tailgate Tuesday for lunch. A discussion of food took place and it was decided to keep it simple with hot dogs, buns, Kracker Jacks, chips – n – nachos and drinks (specifically no soda). It will cost about $200 for the snacks and the bus should run about $400. A 3 hour rental for a fun course blow-up would cost about $350 with a supervisor included. Having the parents pay $2.00 for this event is a good idea. Drinks are must for the kids. A schedule of events is discussed. A&B Party Jump is the company to rent these jump rides. Janel made a motion to pay for everything and have the maze course as the blow-up. It was second by Rebecca Miller. A final amount was decided that it should run about $850 to pay for everything and parents do not have to pay the $2.00 for snack. We should have 3-4 more helpers for supervision.

Parents will receive all the information regarding Catholic School’s week in this Friday’s packet.

Book fair – The PTF Committee list volunteer choices workers went out and the schedule will be developed. The book fair cannot use tape on the walls so there will be a free standing entrance by the office which was assisted by the 8th graders. The book fair will be on both levels of the school which is a bit challenging for the teachers but it should work out for everyone else. The book fair made approximately $4500 last year, so hopefully we do as good a job this year. A separate fundraiser will also take place for the Book Bags for all students so that the plastic bags are gone because they are not holding up well.

Student Appreciation Day is March 19, 2008. The zoo is suggested from 8:30 – 1:45 p.m. Weather could be cold but lots of indoor stuff to do. No program for that day. Bus would be about $350 and $150 for the drivers. Kids should bring sack lunch. Need to ask the zoo if we can bring in coolers and lunch. For the younger students we will need one adult to 5 students. So far there are 22 volunteers but we will need more. Grades should stick together and have a meeting point throughout the day. Rebecca Miller made a motion to approve this field trip and Angie Mueller 2nd it.

Spirit Wear – Gina Knuckles reports that she has Spring stuff coming out. There is a profit of $456.25 for Winter Clothes. Hoodies that were gray is approved. Box of surplus is still available for sale. These items are 25% off.

Dinner Fundraisers Report – Ann Fiedler gave report to Janel. Tequila’s is a no go. They just don’t cooperate to schedule a night. We are going to call Casa’s and Mariachi’s to schedule something. Pizza Hut is still going on for Tuesday. Pizza Hut fundraiser should be in bulletin and on calendar. Breadeaux has a one time discount sale and is interested in getting with Together We Are Better Program. This is going to be referred to Susie Killian. They will do a buffet night for us on a Thursday in February, maybe add a $1.00 the buffet price to go back to St. Joseph. If this is acceptable, then we will look at the sport’s schedule to arrange the night.

Old Business:

Christmas Movie – the children went to the movies in December and it was reported that all went well and the students enjoyed themselves.

Play Money - The continued request for money for the skit for the students during Catholic School’s Week was addressed. It was decided that a specific list of what is needed should be delivered before agreeing to provide extra funds.

Teacher Misc. Fund – There is a fund of $10 per child to be used for whatever the teachers need for something. This money is to be specifically used for the in-class lessons that would require additional items to be brought from home or purchased by parents. This fund should take the place of any and all small money requests. Shelia Elser made the motion to accept this fund and it was 2nd by Janel. This money will start at the beginning of the second semester with $5 per student for this year.

Book Binding- The book binding machine was ordered today and this will be paid for through the TWB fund.

Uniform Store – The store had customers and made $45. The extra clothing was delivered to Cahokia and they were very appreciative of the items.

New Business:

Christmas Thank You notes were received from the teachers and students.

Field Trip Money – Field trip money distribution will be reimbursed after the school trip.

Mr. Hodapp sent a note of thanks for all the things that PTF does.

CYO Mission Trip – Mrs. Neuner provided information regarding the CYO Mission Trip to Knoxville, TN in July. This trip will cost approximately $11,800 all inclusive. The students will pay $150 each as well as help with Trivia Night. CYO would like to give a presentation to PTF and request a donation for this trip. A very long detailed discussion regarding this request took place. It was decided that TWB would be better fitted for this donation. Mrs. Neuner announced that a presentation at church regarding this mission trip is currently scheduled. Susie Killian is better suited to do this and it was discussed that maybe she should track this. It was suggested that maybe TWB whole profit can be given to CYO for the month of March. It was finally decided that Mrs. Neuner should contact Susie Killian and discuss this request with her. Motion made by Janel and 2nd by Jamie Beliveau.

It was announced that the next PTF meeting would be Wednesday, March 19, 2008. President, Janel Davinroy led us in a closing prayer and the meeting was adjourned at 7:58 p.m.

Respectfully submitted,
